Z is for Michelle Zink

Hi everyone, I'm so sad, because today is my last A-Z Challenge post! :( I had so much fun doing this, I got to meet many bloggers who are book-obsessed just like myself. I've learned many things, especially that if you're doing this challenge, you better comment on people's posts, they and other people will definitely comment back, and you'll get more views. I started with about 120 views, and look where I am now, at almost 2000! That's a big achievement for me!

Anywho, since this is the last A-Z post, lets make it the best. (By the way, starting from tomorrow, I'll be posting reviews and the usual stuff again, and I will make them just as good as these posts!)

For today, I decided to dedicate this post to Michelle Zink. You see, she has the same name as me! She's the author of Prophecy of the Sisters, Guardian of the Gate, Circle of Fire, and more.

  Title: Prophecy of the Sisters
  Author: Michelle Zink
  Rating: 5/5 stars
  Release Date: August 1, 2009
Publisher: Little Brown Books for Young Readers

I read this a while ago, it was one of my first teen novels to read. I adored it. If you like steampunk, Victorian, romance novels, this one's for you, my honeychild. (Not trying to be Nicki Minaj here.)

This takes place in the Victorian era in England, where two twin sisters, Lia and Alice Milthrope have just become orphans, and have become enemies. They discover that a prophecy has divided the two against each other, and not only the two of them, but generations of sisters have overcome the mystery that entangles both girls into a vivid tale for any teen lurking for something different.

I loved this book, I really did, but what the first book had doesn't always stay the same for the second...

The Guardian of the Gate, the sequel, was disgusting. I hated it! I was thinking, what has Michelle Zink gone to? I wished that the book just finished with the first book, and that's it. But no, she had to go on with the wholeee story. Grr. That's all I could say.

So, the lesson here is, that you should never assume that the sequel will be just as good as the first novel. I did, and look what I ended up with. hehe...

Thank you, creators of the A-Z Challenge. I had a blast, doing this.

Your fellow bookworm,

Michelle (not Zink)

Y is for You Have Seven Messages

Monday 29 April 2013 0 comments

I've just read this one a few days ago, so I decided it's so captivating, that today's post has to be dedicated to this one.

  Title: You Have Seven Messages
  Author: Stewart Lewis
  Rating: 4/5 stars
  Release Date: September 13, 2011
Publisher: Delacorte Books for Young Readers

For this one, I definitely judged it by the cover. Look how attractive it is! Who cannot get captivated by "that?"

Luna still feels that her mother is with her, after one year since she was killed after car accident. When she goes to clean her studio, she finds her mother's old cell phone, with seven voicemails included. Luna decides to listen to them, finding secrets about her that she never knew herself.

You Have Seven Messages was brilliant! The author really knew how to captivate readers into a fun mystery/romance, that will have them busy for a short while, which it did to me. It was very fast-paced, and I thought I knew what was going to happen, and then I didn't.

Luna was a great heroine. She's unique, mature, and wants to find the truth, and that's what I loved about her. I wanted the best for her, and for her to have a happy ending, which you may guess, she did.

Oliver, Julian, Richard, Daria, Tile and everyone else were marvelous background characters that made the story even better every time that they spoke. Adding Luna's sarcastic humor to her father, this novel made me laugh, smile, and think about what would happen next.

I really enjoyed this one, and it was the perfect story for those who want a light, fun read, but will make you end up obsessing all over again.

So how 'bout that, why don't you give it a try?

X is for Xander(s)

Saturday 27 April 2013 2 comments

Ahh... weekends are the best time to just stay home and read, and that's what I'm definitely doing today!

I can't believe how fast this month has gone. I'm almost done the A-Z Challenge, which I look forward to everyday, and I finally read The Elite

Today, I'm dedicating this post, to two fictional individuals, who I wish that were real, named Xander.

First of all, what an awesome name, right? Xander is known as a short form for the name "Alexander," and means 'defender of mankind.' I definitely think that both Xander's are defenders for their peers, and loved ones, and both Ally Condie of Matched, and Marta Szemik of Two Halves, chose the name "Xander" for a male character, for a reason.

I'm not going to explain what the two novels that both Xander's are placed in are about, because I already posted a post on them. Click here to visit my post about Two Halves, and here to visit my Matched post.

Lets start off with the tough, charming Xander from Marta Szemik's book, Two Halves. Xander was one of my favourite characters in the whole series. Really. He was charming, and tough at the same time, which made my heart swoon. He made Xela, his love interest, and any reader fall for him, instantly.
Xander was a character that you look forward to be reading about. When Sarah, the main female character, introduced him to me, I wanted more.
Now, if you adore that type of guy character who is tough, but captivating at the same time, definitely read this one. I love the whole series, including Xander himself. He's to die for...

Now, Xander from Matched. Xander is your caring, handsome character who's loyal, and willing to do anything for you. And that's why, I loved him more than Ky. I felt a connection to him, and wanted more, as I did with TH Xander. (Yes, I'm not going to keep saying Xander from Two Halves, Xander from Matched.)
I totally understand why Cassia had a hard time choosing. It's so difficult, when you have the caring boy-next-door, and then you have the rebellious one. When Xander was trying to find a cure for a virus, it made me love him even more. Any guy who is willing to change the world in some way, come to me!
Ally Condie wrote a remarkable series, with its unstoppable men, and racing plot. If you haven't read this one already, go pick it up, as well with Two Halves.

Oh... The Xanders of fictional worlds, you all are terrific, now please be reallllll... (My little song)

W is for Wither

"Fate, I think, is a thief."

       It sure is...

This quote from the exceptional novel by Lauren DeStefano, Wither.

      Title: Wither
      Author: Lauren DeStefano
      Rating: 4/5 stars
      Release Date: March 22, 2011
      Publisher: Simon & Schuster

Wither was fantastic, I mean I'd never think that I'd like this book, because of it's time bomb concept, but I liked it more than I doubted it! The plot was exceptional, where as the characters didn't WOW me as they did in the later novels.

Wither takes place in a futuristic world where males live until they're 25, while women until 20. For Rhine Ellery, this means that she has 4 years to live. When Rhine is captured, and is held as a bride, she has to choose between her husband, or attendant, Gabriel. She loves them both, but the choice is too hard to decide.

Linden, Rhine, Gabriel, and Cecily didn't stun me too much, they were dull characters that didn't show a light to me. Where as Jenna, I loved her, until.. well you read it, and you'll figure it out.

Fever, and Sever are the final two novels, and I felt as if the characters grew much stronger in. I adored Linden, Cecily, and Rhine, where as I never grew to love Gabriel, I only did for a second, until I doubted myself.

Lauren DeStefano creates a world where readers never want to leave, including myself. The Chemical Garden Trilogy stunned me, and many others, and will become one series to remember...

QOTD: What do you think the Chemical Garden is, if you haven't read the books. If you have, what do you think it meant for Rhine and her friends?

V is for Vampire Academy

Hi, my fellow bloggers! Today I feel vampire-istic! Okay, not really, but I'm sure Rose Hathaway does, in the series, Vampire Academy, by Richelle Mead, which is what I dedicated today's post to!

    Title: Vampire Academy
    Author: Richelle Mead
    Rating: 4/5 stars
    Release Date: August 16, 2007
    Publisher: Razor Bill

Vampire Academy is definitely for those who enjoy the Twilight Saga, or any fantasy/supernatural/romance type of book, which counts as myself!

With loads of romance, mystery, and thrill, Vampire Academy is the one for any teen book reader!

Although this was a great book, for me, it didn't deserve a five star rating. The next couple of books were fantastic, and then it got boring again.

But, look at these stunning covers! Every one is missing an eye, didn't you notice? I predict that each girl is probably Rose, with her fun, dark personality.

The guys. Dimitri and Adrian, OMG. Richelle has created some dream boyfriends, huh? Well, I guess we all have those guys who we're 'in love with' from books, right? Mine's Will from Clockwork Angel, but I have many more on the list!

The Vampire Academy series was a great series to read, when you feel for something heavy to read- if you know what I mean.

QOTD: What is your favourite supernatural book?

T is for Tiger's Curse

Rawr! Rawr! Huh, what's that I hear? Tigers?

Welcome to today's post about an astonishing series, by Colleen Houck, Tiger's Curse!

   Title: Tiger's Curse
   Author: Colleen Houck
   Rating: 5/5 stars
   Release Date: January 11, 2011
   Publisher: Sterling

When I read the first page of this novel, I fell in love with it instantly. There is NO other book like this in the world, and that's a fact.

This book was so brilliant, that I was speechless when I finished it, and I still kinda am. I bought this as a bargain, for $4.00 in hardcover, and I really didn't think it would be that good. But, it really was, and more!

Summary time! Kelsey Hayes is a teenager who lives with her foster parents in Salem, Oregon. When she takes a job to work in a circus, she'd never believe what was in store for her.

Next thing you know it, Kelsey is introduced to a tiger with a 300-year old curse, and Kelsey is the chosen one to go to India and save the tiger and his brother's curse, before it's too late.

Romance, action, thrill, and fantasy, this book has it all. Yes, I'm serious.

So, now you're thinking, so what about the characters, and the rest of the series? The characters were oh-so hot, I mean the guys. Kishan and Ren made my heart twirl around in circles, wanting more, and guess what? I did get more, three more books in fact!
Tiger's Quest, Tiger's Voyage, and Tiger's Destiny are the next three books, supposing to finish off with Tiger's Dream, that's supposed to come late this year.

The rest of the series was just as amazing as the first book, making me bite my nails to the tips, wanting more, and more, and more.

Colleen Houck is a terrific author, with the best details as you could receive in a book, and making readers choose sides, Team Ren, or Team Kishan?

Well, hello, as you could see in my widgets, I'm Team Kishan all the way, and maybe, just maybe, if you read the books, you'll hopefully see why.

QOTD: Would you ever take a chance by helping someone you've just met? If so, why?

S is for Marta Szemik

Monday 22 April 2013 2 comments
Good evening everyone, today is the day I've been waiting for, for a long time, dedicated to my amazing friend/author, Marta Szemik. This one's for you, Marta!
I've known Marta since I was four years old, and now I can't believe that I finally have my love of books in common with her. When she released her first novel, Two Halves, in 2011, she inspired me right away to start writing as well.

I've written a few drafts of things, here and there, but nothing never brought me to going further. I'm currently working on two works, one dystopian and one fantasy/romance.

Anyways, this is about Marta's work, not mine. So, lets get to the reviewing!

Title: Two Halves
Author: Marta Szemik
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Release Date: November 27, 2011
Publisher: MyLit Publishing

Two Halves was one unforgettable book, that made my heart hurt for the romance between William and Sarah!

Marta here has made me obsessed, seriously. There are so many amazing books out there, and this series just happens to be one of them!

So, for those of you who haven't read it yet, which you definitely should, here's a little summary. Okay. Twenty-one year old Sarah is a half-breed vampire, who killed her human mother at birth, with her strength, and whose father left her with a trusted guardian. When she starts to get vivid nightmares frequently about someone who is hunted for, just like her, she is wildly captivated into thinking about him, all the time. When the dark side starts hunting for her, Sarah isn't sure if she's ready into coming into the underworld. All it takes is one choice, for everything to change.

I guess you can see why I love this series, because of it's captivating, urban plot. I loved William and Sarah's relationship. They were destined to be together, and that just made my heart ache from the sight of it. Personally, my favourite characters were Mira and Xander. They were put into the world for a specific reason, to look after Sarah, and you could feel that they were real. I definitely see that Marta added her passion and soul into each and every one of her characters, and I felt it throughout the book.

The series goes on with Marked, Two Equals, and finally, sadly ending with Evil-Bent. They were all thrilling books, with everything I wanted in them, hoping for more from Marta, who is a brilliant author, with her big imagination, making readers cheering "Two Halves, Two Halves" in the crowds.

I guess you see why I dedicated this post to my inspiration, and one of my favourite authors, Marta Szemik. If you read this, you'll find NO other book like it.

If you believe me, and realize that Marta's work sounds terrific, she has a blog too, so no worries! Visit Marta at her website; http://martaszemik.blogspot.ca/

Marta will truly inspire all of you, to follow your dreams, because I'm pretty sure, that she's living hers, writing for all of us to read.

R is for Veronica Rossi

Saturday 20 April 2013 1 comments

Hi everyone! I just finished reading 'Under The Never Sky,' and it's perfect for today's post because the author's last name starts with 'R'!

     Title: Under The Never Sky
     Author: Veronica Rossi
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
     Release Date: January 3, 2012
     Publisher: HarperCollins
     Age Group: YA

Wow! I adored this book! No. I didn't, although I've heard many good things about this novel. I thought that it was average, and predictable. Under the Never Sky was dull, and average, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Aria has enough of her overprotected live in a dome in the city of Reverie. When her mother goes missing, she knows that she has a little chance of survival. Aria starts to live in the wastelands outside her home, when she meets Perry. Perry is wild, reckless and also fighting for survival. When Aria and Perry make a deal with each other to stick together and fight for survival, they realize that not only they are both fighting for the same thing, they are fighting for each other's love.

I had mixed feelings about this one. I felt as if the beginning didn't catch my attention. Too much was happening, and I felt as if i wasn't caught into the "net."

Aria wasn't the strongest heroine, at all. I felt as if she didn't know what to do, and she had to rely on other people for survival. She wanted to be the boss, but she could never be.

When Perry's first appeared into the book, I never would think that he's a bad boy. He wanted to save his nephew from his abusive drunk father, and when he went missing, his life fell to pieces.

I have one suggestion for the author; sink your readers into the book, don't let them out. I find that many authors never have that problem, authors such as Cynthia Hand, Colleen Houck, Ally Condie, Veronica Roth or Kami Garcia. But, Rossi does have this, and I know it.

What striked me into giving this a higher rating, was the relationship between Roar and Aria, I felt as if they maybe should have ended up together instead. They were both passionate, and wanted the best for everyone around them, while Perry didn't care, only for himself and his nephew.

Veronica Rossi didn't please me too much on this one, I predicted that it'd be much better indeed.

Q is for Questions (Book statistics from my personal life)

Friday 19 April 2013 0 comments

It's hard to find a book or an author's name that begins with the letter "Q," so for me, today's post will be about book statistics from my personal life.

Lemme tell you this, not many people in my school like to read. They rather spend their Saturday afternoons at the mall or texting their friends. This is not me, your 12 year old girl. I much rather spend everyday reading, and reading, and reading.

But, there are a few bookworms at school, who I know, that enjoy reading, as a pastime. For me, reading is my life, and NOT a hobby.

Most people who I know enjoy reading dystopian, romance, or fantasy novels such as; Divergent, The Selection, City of Bones, Eve, Fallen, The Hunger Games, The Host and a few more.

Now, don't forget, there are those who are still reading the middle-grade novels, which were good, for when I was 9. The Harry Potter series is still a big thing for a few people, but I find myself never enjoying those type of books.

As a bookworm myself, I love to see other people reading, so I could recommend some novels, or talk about the books. Sometimes, my friends think I think too much about books. They are my life, huh?

So, these weren't statisitics, this was more of a joy I have to see other readers read.

QOTD: Do you know a lot of other bookworms? Do they like to read as much as you?

P is for Pretty Little Liars

Thursday 18 April 2013 1 comments

Imagine, you go to your best friend's sleepover. She decides to add some fun to everything, but wanting to hypotize all 4 of you, including yourself. You can imagine what would happen, if something went wrong, so you back out. Your friend gets angry and you all decide to go to sleep.
A few hours later, you bolt up, noticing that 1 out of the 5 of you are gone. You get up, searching for your friend, when you see her in the kitchen. You get angry at her, and she leaves the house. You run after her... but she disappears, and you never see her again.

This plot sounds great, doesn't it? Well, lucky for you, this is a book that's actually published, and has sold millions of copies online, and even became a hit TV show. Yes, I'm talking about the world-famous series by Sara Shepard, Pretty Little Liars.

So I've basically told you the beginning of the story, before it all began.

Okay, so maybe not all of it. By the way, that's Troian Bellisario up there, the girl who plays Spencer Hastings in the show.

Three years later, Alison's still missing. Her 4 best friends who she left behind, Aria, Spencer, Emily, and Hanna have all moved on with their lives, but they all still have a feeling that Alison's alive. When Ali was with them, everyone seemed to love her, she was beautiful, with her big blue eyes and long blond hair, but inside, they were all envious. Anything could've happened to her.
When the four girls start to get a mysterious, anonymous text claimed to be someone named "A," all four girls believe that Ali's alive, and she's ready to come back to Rosewood.

A #1 New York Times bestseller, Pretty Little Liars stunned every reader, including myself. I adored it. Mysterious, girly, and surprising, PLL is one book to remember.

Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Troian Bellasario and Shay Mitchell star in the show as the real Hanna, Aria, Spencer, and Emily, and make fans obsess over the show and the books.

OMG! Did any of YOU hear about what the third Divergent book is going to be called? ALLEGIANT! YAY! I CAN'T WAIT!

QOTD: Do you believe in the quote that is commonly used in the show, "Two can keep a secret if one of them is dead." by Benjamin Franklin?

O is for The Outsiders

Wednesday 17 April 2013 5 comments

Here it is, the moment you've all been waiting for, the letter 'O.' O is for the phenomenal classic book by S.E. Hinton, The Outsiders.

*WARNING* This review might be 19965 characters long!

I had to read this for my seven grade English class. My school's providing a copy for everyone to borrow, but my teacher explained that we'd be reading this book at the beginning of the year, so I received my own copy for Christmas. I'd never expect it to be this amazing. Seriously. Gangs? Violence? So not my thing. But... surprisingly, the school curriculum made an awesome choice of books. Actually, as I can see, my whole class  loved the book. All the girls and guys. And, I felt as I skimmed through it. But I didn't actually. The font is very small, I paid attention to the details extra closely, because we're writing an essay about the book, and I chose to compare it to Looking For Alaska, by John Green.

Now, the actual plot. I don't where the heck S.E. Hinton got this amazing idea of the story from, but it sure was fascinating to read about. The story takes place in the 1960's, where gangs separate the people of the southern U.S. from joining together. The main character Ponyboy Curtis, has been jumped over by the Socs, (socials) rival gang of the Greasers, the gang Ponyboy is in. His brothers Darry and Sodapop come to save him and that introduces all of the gang, Johnny Cade, (my favourite) Sodapop Curtis, Darrel Curtis, Steve Randell, Two-Bit Matthews, and Dallas Winston. We later find out that Darry, Soda, and Pony live alone after their parents got killed in a car accident.

Darry is known as the big guy, the popular guy in high school, highly academic, the football star. After his parents died, he decides not to take his college scholarship because he needs to take care of his younger brothers. Darry might seem way overprotective in the book, hitting Pony which causes him to run away, (not giving too many spoilers) but he only did it because he loves Ponyboy.

Sodapop is Pony's older brother, by a few years. Soda is funny, good-looking and is currently dating Sandy in the book. He can be sarcastic at times, but that's what he's known for. Soda is known as a drop-off, who quit school, and was working at a gas station.

Steve Randell wasn't a main character, just a background one, who we don't find too much about. Steve is known as Sodapop's best friend, and was played by Tom Cruise in the movie.

Two-Bit Matthews is the Curtis' fellow gang member, who has an obsession with Mickey Mouse and likes to stand up for his gang members. Two-Bit is known for his hilarious laugh, found in the movie, and his wild personality.

Dallas Winston is one tough guy. Dallas is the bad-boy of the group, joining rodeos, getting drunk at parties, and who wears a leather jacket to show his muscles off. Dallas is one of my favourite characters, who has a soft side, that will make you tear up. Although he has a bad reputation, many fans enjoy him, and espcially believe that the book wouldn't be nothing without him.

Johnny Cade is my all-time favourite character of the whole story, with his heroic, shy, special personality, that will have many people obsessing over him from years to come. Johnny is a sixteen-year old gang member that was previously beat up by the rival gang, the Socs, where the Greasers found him. Johnny may be shy, but he has a rebellic reputation that made me feel all happy inside.

Ponyboy Curtis is the main character in the book, and whose point of view this is from. Pony is a dreamer, as I describe him, who is smart, loves to read and watch sunsets, and who stands up for his buddies. Ponyboy holds a special place in each of our hearts, and will be remembered for his story, forever.

The Outsiders is about two rival gangs, the Greasers and the Socs. As a Greaser, Ponyboy learns that when things get a little too far, you shouldn't take them farther, as he did one night, that changed his and the Greasers' lives forever...

I'm not going to give you spoilers.

Yes, because it would ruin the whole book for you! And.. I know that you will want to read this, if you haven't! It's short, fast-paced, and will make you cry for hours, because I know I did!

The Outsiders was phonomenally written, it's one of the best books written of all time. And.. surprisingly, it was written by a sixteen year old girl!

So, if you decide that this book might be worth it, it is 100%! I dedicated today's post to this for a reason, and that reason is because everyone, young and old, have to understand the importance of friendship, and how youth might be one of the best times of your life, even if there are some twists and turns in between. Everything happens for a reason, doesn't it?

N is for Alyson Nöel

Tuesday 16 April 2013 0 comments

Spring is finally here! Alyson Nöel's books' colours remind me that summer is finally coming, and that I have to catch up on more of her books! So... N is for Alyson Nöel, an extraordinary young adult author.

First off, lets start off with the single novels, Art Geeks and Prom Queens, and Kiss & Blog. Art Geeks and Prom Queens is about sixteen-year old Rio Jones, whose mother is a supermodel, who moves from bright New York to sunny California, where everything is about being popular. When she meets Kristi, a beautiful, rich cheerleader, Rio doesn't have one guess that she'll become her friend, but she does. At first as Rio is having a great time, she never realized that you don't cross Kristi...

I've been wanting to read this one for a while, and here I did, and I really loved it! Rio was smart, fun and everything a girl would want themselves to be like. I really liked this book because Rio put confidence in herself and was independent. She stood up for herself against the stupid girls who think the world revolves around them. It's the perfect girly book that will keep you running away from those who turn your world upside down!

Next off, we have Kiss & Blog, another single novel. Kiss & Blog features Winter and Sloane, two best friends ready for high school, where they make a pact that they will become noticed. When Sloane gets the real life, and ditches Winter, Winter needs to realize that friends should stick together, even in their times of need, and to get revenge.

Kiss & Blog was one worthy read. I enjoyed this book a lot, it was a fun, girly, chick-lit for any teen, lovers of The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants. Winter was a really strong heroine, but I hated her Sloane! ! I knew she was up to something! Although Alyson Noel was stronger in Art Geeks and Prom Queens, I enjoyed this book as well.

Radiance. Radiance is a four-part series written for a tween audience, by Alyson here. Riley Bloom has crossed into the afterlife, the Here, where time is always Now, because of her death in a car accident, that also took the life of her parents, but left her sister, Ever, behind. She's picked up a happy new life where she's been assigned a job, to become a Soul Seeker, and fight ghosts with her "teacher," Bodhi. This time around, both Riley and Bodhi have to find the mysterious Radiant Boy, a ghost that's been haunting a castle in England for centuries.

Radiance and the rest of the series made my heart literally swim, and fly, in this case. Alyson showed that she could write both fantasy, and romance, in one, to truly satisfy her readers. I enjoyed the series very much, and I hope that Nöel will soon start a series on a new concept.

Last but not least, Evermore. Evermore is about Ever, who lost her parents and her younger sister, Riley (Yes, there's a relation.) in a car accident. As she comes back into Earth, she realizes that she could see people's auras and know someone's life story by simply touching them. She is brought to a new high school where everything changes when she meets Damon. Damon draws Ever into his world of secrets and mystery and falls in love, when she finds he's like her, an immortal.

Evermore was amazing. Damon and Ever truly showed physical romance, that you can't keep apart. Nöel wrote as if in a way that she takes Ever's role in life very seriously. GO EVERMORE!

I chose Alyson Nöel because she's a great inspirational author for young readers, showing that you could be anything you want to be, and that dreams can simply come true. I adore her books, and will definitely keep on reading the rest of the Immortal series very soon!

QOTD: Who is your favourite author, and why?

M is for Matched

M is for the Matched trilogy, by Ally Condie! What a beautiful day today, the sun's finally shining, the sky is clear, I just feel HAPPY!

Anyways, Matched takes place in a futuristic world, where everyone trusts the Society to make choices for them, what to read, what to where, and even who to marry. The Matching ceremony is a celebration where the Society picks who's your Match, from their results. When it's Cassia's turn, she never expects her best friend, Xander's face to pop up on the screen, but it does. Cassia is sure that he's her ideal mate, until Ky Markham's face also quickly pops on the screen before it faded away, giving Cassia a huge choice to make, between her loving best friend she's known for years, or between a path that no one else has dared to follow...

Matched is one of my favourite books of all time! With it's Post-Apocalyptic and Dystopian world, romance, characters and relation to real-life situations, Matched brings its readers to  full-attention, stating the possible combinations of love at first sight, on a screen.

Haha, this is me right now! Anywho, Ally Condie is one of my favourite authors, because Matched became something I couldn't stop thinking about for hours! Crossed and Reached are the two sequels to Matched, giving me the same love, and that feeling of reality in them, every page.

           I WANT THIS!

QOTD: Do you think one day, that today's society will ever turn into a dystopian society, such as in Matched, Divergent, or The Hunger Games?

L is for April Lindner

Bonjour! L is for an awesome author, April Linder, author of Jane and Catherine, two books that are based on classic stories, Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights, but with a twist!

Okay, so lets start off with the first book she wrote, that was the best one, Jane. Jane takes place in a world, similar to ours, where Jane Moore is forced to drop out of an East Coast Collage after her parents' sudden death.

Uh huh, so you are listening! Anywho, Jane takes a nanny job at the estate of famous rock star, Nico Rathburn. Independant and confident, Jane soon begins to enroll a romance with the hunky star, and begins to discover a mystery about the estate. Torn between love and mysteries, Jane has to decide whether love should be taken a chance with, if a secret unfolds in between.

This is how I felt after I finished this book. Jane was the perfect book for me, because I adore romance, and a little mystery in-between. Nico might've sounded stubborn, but he turned into a great male character. So, the lesson of this book is to take a chance with love, because you may have found the "one."

Next, Catherine. Catherine was released this year, prior to Jane, kind of as a spinoff to Wuthering Heights, by Emily Bronte. Catherine takes place with two points of view, Catherine's, and Chelsea's, in two different time periods, the 80's and I guess, modern day?
Catherine is your average teenager, with a not-so-average life. Her father owns an underground nightclub, The Underground, in Manhattan. When she meets the mysterious Hence, she falls in love immediately with the talented musician.  But when their love is tested by a true amount of fate, can the two still be together by the end?
Chelsea always had believed that her mom died of an illness years ago, but when she discovers a letter her dad's been hiding from her for years, a letter stating that she went missing, Chelsea has to go seek for her, and the first place she goes to, the place where it all began, The Underground. Taken in two points of views, two different lives, April Lindner truly showed her side of things in this novel.

Catherine surprised me. I truly thought that it'd be five stars, but I gave it four, because it wasn't as strong as Jane. Although Jane was better, I still enjoyed Catherine very much, with the romance, mystery, and time periods. A great story for any teens seeking a good mystery-romance novel.

Overall, I dedicated this post to April Lindner, because she is a fantastic author. Her storylines actually place you in her stories, filling you with thousands of thoughts keeping you awake for hours. Jane and Catherine fufilled my requirements of a great book, and went beyond.

Question of The Day: What is your favourite classic book? Do you think that there should be a spinoff book, such as Jane or Catherine?
