Violet is on the run. After the Duchess of the Lake catches Violet with Ash, the hired companion at the Palace of the Lake, Violet has no choice but to escape the Jewel or face certain death. So along with Ash and her best friend, Raven, Violet runs away from her unbearable life of servitude.
But no one said leaving the Jewel would be easy. As they make their way through the circles of the Lone City, Regimentals track their every move, and the trio barely manages to make it out unscathed and into the safe haven they were promised—a mysterious house in the Farm.
But there’s a rebellion brewing, and Violet has found herself in the middle of it. Alongside a new ally, Violet discovers her Auguries are much more powerful than she ever imagined. But is she strong enough to rise up against the Jewel and everything she has ever known?
The White Rose is a raw, captivating sequel to The Jewel that fans won’t be able to put down until the final shocking moments.
So I've just read The Jewel not so long ago, and I'M OBSESSED. Ewing is a fantastic author and she created so much suspense that I'm unable to wait any longer. Thankfully, Amy will be at BEA on the 27th (ONE WEEK!) and I will meet her and hopefully get this one!
Yes! I'm definitely looking forward to reading this! I think it sounds even better than the first book! I'm totally excited about it! Great pick!

My WoW
OMG YES! *fans self* I need more! Thanks Michelle! :)
DeleteWhen I was at RT I saw this book. It's so short! I looked short to me:P I haven't read the first one, so that's why I didn't get it. Awesome post:) My WOW: http://mylittlecornerforbooks.blogspot.com/2015/05/why-havent-i-heard-of-this-before-again.html
ReplyDeleteOoooo! All of the RT tweets and posts make me want to BAWL out of pure envy. (Just kidding, haha!) I hope that it's everything I want from the sequel! :)
DeleteWOAH I LIKE THAT COVER. I'm one of the moody bookworms who didn't like the Jewel very much at all, hehe. Buuuuut, I LOVE THE COVERS SO MUCH. So that definitely counts. The UK/AUS covers are pretty awful, so i'm just drooling over the US ones. xD
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
I KNOW, RIGHT?! Aw, it's okay! I mean, there are tons of negative reviews on it and I was actually expecting to dislike it as well! *is so excited to be the black sheep* I just noticed those creepy faces on the sides of the rose, but oh well, haha. LOL they are REALLY ugly! If I spotted the book with the AUS covers at the store, I probably would've been more hesitant to pick it up unlike my situation with the US. xD
DeleteI didn't love The Jewel... at all, but I still hope to read this one! And have fun meeting Amy at BEA, lovely! <33
ReplyDeleteHaha you're one of the awful haters! *jokes* KIDDING! I totally expected to hate The Jewel anyways! Thank you SO much, girly! <33
DeleteDamn, you'll be going to BEA? LUCKY YOU! I hope you get to meet all the bloggers and all the authors that your heart desires! I wasn't too hot on The Jewel and am reading this one right now. Hope you get to read it soon and that you'll enjoy it as well.

Thank you SO much, Faye!! My heart desires a TON, I must say. *giggles* Ooooo, you're the lucky one as well, girl! I'm hoping that it's more enjoyable for you than the first? ;D
DeleteSadly, I was never interested in Jewel, so no. But I hope you'll enjoy this one!
