A Shimmer of Angels by Lisa Rasso

A Shimmer of Angels was a fantastic, extraordinary book from Month9Books. I adored it! Every single page i turned, I kept being pushed and grabbed into Reyna's world, full of angels, and maybe a few murders in between.

Plot: The plot was something I can hardly explain. It was thrilling, romantic, mysterious and everything in between! Rayna truly showed her true side of things with hearing her thoughts and living her "hallucinations". As I read the first page, I immediately was pulled into the story. Angels are a subject that I like to think of different, because each angelic book is unqiue, some with fallen angels, heavenly angels, but this one, made me feel that it had everything that a stunning book needs. Everything.

Characters: Rayna, Cam, and everyone else made me smile, inside and out. Their thoughts and words were inspirtation to me, and I know that it will be to anyone else.

Love: The romance here was perfect. The love triangle made me even more anxious, wondering whose side Rayna will be on. As we can see, she loves them both. I would too. <3

Overall: Please, please, please, I'm begging you all to read this book. It's amazing, and thank you Month9Books for publishing it, and for Lisa Rasso for writing it. My world would be lost. 5/5 star rating

Starcrossed by Joesphine Angelini

My next read was Starcrossed, chosen by my Instagram bookworms!

Starcrossed... what an interesting name. And, what an interesting book!

Starcrossed was in my shelf for a long time, but when I decided to let my Instagram followers choose my next read, 1 of the four reads that they could choose from was Starcrossed, and it won witht two votes. My followers kept anticipating about how great this book was, and I believed them.
What I thought, was that this one was pretty good. Not my favourite, but enjoyable. Helen was kind of a weak character, with her insecurities, but doesn't everyone have them? Lucas was a hottie, with his charming attitude, pulling every girl reader into him. I was surprised with how much description Joesphine added into this, and her passion for writing.
The concept was very unique, but reminded me of two books I've read, Fury and The Godess Test. With its charm, plot, and male characters, Starcrossed was a great read. -Michelle

Fever by Lauren DeStefano

Finally! After The Raven Boys, this one lit me up, once again! Wither was great, as well, and this one was even better!
Plot: Perfection! After Rhine and Gabriel run away from Linden's home, they need to get to Manhattan, to find Rhine's twin brother. Gabriel decides to take a boat to a mysterious place. They end up in a carnival, where a certain lady takes them for hostage. As they try to get out, Gabriel catches a virus and gets beaten up. As they make a plan, they meet new people and finally get a chance to get out. They find a delivery truck that may be going to Pennsylvania, and hop in. Rhine and Gabriel may finally get the chance to have their happily ever after.. or not?

Characters: Lets make this simple. Rhine, Maddie, Liliac, Claire, I like. Gabriel, Madame, Silas, I don't like. But you fans may say, How can you not like Gabriel? I respond, he's predictable and stubborn. When Rhine said that they shouldn't take the boat to what was the carnival, Gabriel insisted, and look what they ended up with. Stubborn much, dude?

Love: There wasn't that much romance here! Hopefully in Sever, there will be!

The Raven Boys

The read after that.. was The Raven Boys, by Maggie Stiefvater.

Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver was one of my favourites. I highly expected that this one, would be one as well. But, it wasn't. I didn't see the point to it, and there usually is a point. The characters were boring, and no one "spoke" to me.
The plot, that was what it made this three-star rating three stars. I kind of liked it. The predictions? That's unique, something you've never heard of. Maura was the only character that was funny, when she wasn't trying to be, and I understood her. But, there was too many characters to keep track of. Persephone, Blue, Noah, Adam, Gansey, Maura and whoever else. It's too hard to keep track of!
I do not reccomend this book. There's many better books out there, including Maggie's The Wolves Of Mercy Falls trilogy. I'm not going to pick up the next one, and I hope that you won't too.

Legend / Marie Lu

Hey, again. My next read was Legend, by Marie Lu!

Marie Lu's world of the Republic is stunning. Everything is so descriptive, that I feel that I'm in it. June and Day's point of view brings their fans to a high expectation of them falling in love and solving the mystery at the same time.
First of all to say, I adored this book. It made me think for hours after, what will happen next? And how, the characters connected to me. I felt everything they felt, and this book inspired me to never judge a book by its cover. Sometimes, I never really like those war, criminal type of books, and I knew, by the cover, that this one will be one too, but I loved it. June's character was the strongest, with her smart thoughts and predictions, and Day fit right into her. They're a match. Second of all, I'm so reading the next book. No comment after this. :p

The Lives We Lost!

Hey! I'm sorry that I didn't post! So. Many. Tests. Last. Week.

Anyways, so the book after The Way We Fall was the next novel, The Lives We Lost! As I said, The Way We Fall was perfectly made for me. So was the sequel! This one I liked because there was much more action and romance. New people in the group, including Leo, made it great. I can't wait until the final book! Kaelyn has to find Tessa and Meredith! Loved it, loved it, loved it!

So, that's it.

Did you guys hear Ariana Grande, yep, same name, new single, The Way? Amazing!

The Way We Fall!

OMGOMG! *Fan screams* The Way We Fall was astonishing unstoppable for me to put down. It was unique, and contagious, as in can't put down to its readers. I've never read any book about an epidemic before! The cover reminds me of the movie Contagion, I guess yellow is an epidemic colour? The author relates to me, because of the setting. I live in Canada, so I understand the hardships of the life there and fight for survival, not that we can't over here. I mean the weather and living next to the ocean. The way Crewe puts Kaelyn's thoughts into words, it's amazing. I felt that Kae was right next to me. Kaelyn wasn't your average heroine, she fought for what was right and did everything to save her family, and in some cases, she didn't. I was thinking that this book would be predictable, that Kae wouldn't get the disease, but she did. And, she fought it. Over course, she wouldn't die, because the books would be nothing without her. :) Overall, The Way We Fall made me speechlessly astonished. I love it!

Also, by the way, I just got the second book today! So, I'm definitely reading that now! -Michy

Last Sacrifice

They come first. Of course, your family and friends come first, before yourself. Well, that's Rose's and my opinion. Sad, romantic, and thrilling! I felt everything that Rose felt in this book, her madness when people would accuse her of killing Tatiana, or her loss when she doesn't get Dimitri. I don't want it to end! I'm definitely, going to read Bloodlines, because Sydney is the main character, whose personality and mysterious I liked. Richelle Mead is a great author. With her passion for writing, and her passion for vampires. She adds a tweak to her books, not having vampires being plain old average vampires, but letting the world being okay with them. Overall, I'm fascinated with this series, and I'm very disappointed that its done. I need more from Dimitri and Rose!

So, yes. This is what I felt about this book. But, why does Richelle Mead only stick with vampires? They're awesome, but I want more, if you know what I mean.

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare Review

Clockwork Princess. Was. Amazing. I'm. Freaking. Out. Yay.

Angel, Prince, Princess, this series has a special place in my heart. It's no joke to me, I wish that this one would never end. I usually am ready when other series end, but this one, I don'r want to let go. :( Why??

Plot: The plot was perfect. The love triangle continues, and I loved every word of it. I was so happy when WIll became Jem's patabai! Two best friends, fighting for the same woman, that's what I like! Charlotte made a great improvement in this one, I usually couldn't stand her wittiness, but her becoming pregnant, and her caring for Jem, she improved in my eyes. This was action-packed, sad, witty but made me shiver in joy all in between!

Characters: Of course, the characters were all perfection. Will made my heart ache, when he ached for Tessa, and Jem made me cry as he was dying. I knew what Tessa wanted, to be with both, and hey, she did. I was shockingly happy when Jem didn't die, but when Tessa explains in the epilogue, how Will died, I started to ball. How could my hubby, my favourite male character in all books, die? I loved him, and he only died at 76!
Cecily, Gabriel, Gideon, Sophie and Charlotte totally improved in my eyes, and I felt their emotions at the same time as I did.

(SPOLIER) Love Triangle: It was phenomenal. How could Cassie Clare get all of these pickup lines? I wished that it was me who Will gave the letter to, or who Will told that he loved. I would have gladly accepted, right away, and we'd run into the ever after, forever! Yes, that's my story. The only thing that ruined it for me, was that I read the family tree on the back of the cover while I was reading it! It ruined everything when I saw William Herondale and Tessa Grey together, just as I hoped, and I kept wondering, Jem didn't die? Poor thing!

Ending: The ending was the best, just as I expected it to be. Will and Tessa together, but they separate, sadly, but at least she gets Jem after, right? When I read that Tessa was in City Of Glass, I'm like what, isn't she dead by now? But, when Tessa did what Will wanted her to do, I felt the happiness in my heart.

Overall: I don't want to let The Infernal Devices go. How? Hopefully, those wonderful people in Hollywood would finally decide that maybe it's time for a movie? I'll be the first one in line, absolutely. PLEASE, CASSANDRA CLARE, MAKE THE DARK ARTIFICES AS AMAZING AS THIS SERIES! IT'S AMAZING!

-M, now finishing Last Sacrifice, lol

Spirit Bound..

Hey everyone, sorry I'm not posting much lately, school's hectic again.

I finished Blood Promise by Richelle Mead! I give it a 4/5 star rating. It's better than the first book, lemme tell you that. I love Dimitri and Rose together, it seems as they can't live without each other!

GOODREADS REVIEW: The recent attack on St. Vladimir's Academy devastated the entire Moroi world. Many are dead. And, for the few victims carried off by Strigoi, their fates are even worse. A rare tattoo now adorns Rose's neck, a mark that says she's killed far too many Strigoi to count. But only one victim matters . . . Dimitri Belikov. Rose must now choose one of two very different paths: honoring her life's vow to protect Lissa—her best friend and the last surviving Dragomir princess—or, dropping out of the Academy to strike out on her own and hunt down the man she loves. She'll have to go to the ends of the earth to find Dimitri and keep the promise he begged her to make. But the question is, when the time comes, will he want to be saved? Now, with everything at stake—and worlds away from St. Vladimir's and her unguarded, vulnerable, and newly rebellious best friend—can Rose find the strength to destroy Dimitri? Or, will she sacrifice herself for a chance at eternal love?

Haha, lemme tell you this, if you want a spoiler, yes, she may sacrifice herself for a chance at eternal love, or she was about to...

Since I finished that one, I'm going to finish the rest of the series. Now reading the next one, Spirit Bound. Almost done, pretty good, 4/5 star rating, again. Here's the beautiful cover... Sorry it's blurry.

City Of Lost Souls!

City Of Lost Souls: Cassandra Clare

Hello, my fellow Team Jace's and Team Simon's, I just finished one of my favourite books! City of Lost Souls, as you can also read the title. lol.
GOODREADS SUMMARY: What price is too high to pay, even for love? When Jace and Clary meet again, Clary is horrified to discover that the demon Lilith’s magic has bound her beloved Jace together with her evil brother Sebastian, and that Jace has become a servant of evil. The Clave is out to destroy Sebastian, but there is no way to harm one boy without destroying the other. As Alec, Magnus, Simon, and Isabelle wheedle and bargain with Seelies, demons, and the merciless Iron Sisters to try to save Jace, Clary plays a dangerous game of her own. The price of losing is not just her own life, but Jace’s soul. She’s willing to do anything for Jace, but can she still trust him? Or is he truly lost? Love. Blood. Betrayal. Revenge. Darkness threatens to claim the Shadowhunters in the harrowing fifth book of the Mortal Instruments series.

Yes, there was lots of love, blood, betrayal and revenge. The Mortal Instruments series is my favourite, with its characters, plot and romance, every reader will find themselves hooked into the world of Clary Fray and her friends.I usually use the word amazing in my review, today lets use another synonym. How bout extraordinary? Fantastic? Phenomenal? I could go on and on...The problem is, that City Of Heavenly Fire will be out next year, the wait is way too long. At least, Clockwork Princess is out Tuesday! Yay!
