My Choices for the Popsugar 2015 Reading Challenge!

Thursday 22 January 2015

Hello, hello! Since we're here at the time when everyone's making (and hopefully not forgetting) about their New Year's Resolutions, I've decided to participate in Popsugar's 2015 Reading Challenge, as many other bloggers are! This post will go through all of my choices for each category!

A Book With More Than 500 Pages: The Diviners by Libba Bray

So I don't know about you, but this one's been sitting in my shelf for a long time. I've read a few by Bray and haven't been really impressed, but I know this will be awesome.

A Classic Romance: Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

Okay, books with this type of language is difficult for me to read, but after taking English next semester, I know that I can be able to handle it. We'll be reading Romeo and Juliet, for goodness sakes. So excited!

A Book That Became a Movie: Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Yep—I still haven't read this one. I got the boxed set many years ago when I was like eight, and I tried reading it but then I watched the movie and then I moved on the sequel and then watched the movie... You get the story.

A Book Published This Year: The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski

I have an eARC of this, people! I'm so excited to get into it since the first one was fabulous!

A Book With A Number in Its Title: The 100 by Kass Morgan

So I've began watching the TV show of this... And my life is complete. And now I WANT TO READ THIS!

A Book Written By Someone Under 30: Red Rising by Pierce Brown

This has a 4.17 rating on Goodreads and just about everyone I know has read it and loved it—and I'm so needy of it. It also won the Goodreads Awards! *slides on a slide*

A Book With Nonhuman Characters: Invaded by Melissa Landers

Yes, Alienated was gorgeous and since I have an eARC of this, I'm so obsessed. AELYX IS GORGEOUS!

A Funny Book: Babe in Boyland by Jody Gehrman

I've heard such hilarious things on this one—and since I've read others by this author in the past, I have a feeling that it'll be good.

A Book By a Female Author: Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

This one is really supposed to be the book of the year as everyone's blaring over it with eARC reviews. ;_; I have one, I just need to join in. RETELLING, HERE I COME!

A Mystery or Thriller: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

I got this last year for $9.99 online and I heard that it's like Dangerous Girls... Okay, then I'm in.

A Book With a One-Word Title: Frozen by Melissa de la Cruz and Michael Johnston

Anything by Melissa de la Cruz is a go for me, that's all I can say.

A Book of Short-Stories: Four: A Divergent Story Collection by Veronica Roth

FOUR, MY BABY!

Well, those are twelve of them. I've only just begun choosing, and these are what I'm going to go with for now, haha.

Are you participating in any challenges for the year?

    1. Ahh, yes! When I first found it, I knew that I would immediately sign up for it. But I probably am not going to base my reading off it—just to check it off once I read them—since they're all anticipated. THANK YOU! I'm so excited for them all!
