Goodreads Summary: A journey may take hundreds of miles, or it may cover the distance between duty and desire.

Sixteen of today’s hottest writers of paranormal tales weave stories on a common theme of journeying. Authors such as Kelley Armstrong, Rachel Caine, and Melissa Marr return to the beloved worlds of their bestselling series, while others, like Claudia Gray, Kami Garcia, and Margaret Stohl, create new land-scapes and characters. But whether they’re writing about vampires, faeries, angels, or other magical beings, each author explores the strength and resilience of the human heart.

Suspenseful, funny, or romantic, the stories in Enthralled will leave you moved.

Review:

Aww, my childhood connects to a horrible book. How surprising Wow.

Yeah, I'm really dumb for picking this one up because I had a feeling in my guts that this one would suck, but of course, the other half of me wanted it so badly and kept begging for me to get it, so that's what I ended up with, haha. *sarcasm*

So here we have 15 short teen paranormal stories, written by most of the authors we all know- Melissa Marr, Kelley Armstrong, Ally Condie, Margaret Stohl, Kami Garcia, Claudia Gray, you name it. I think I only enjoyed 6/15 stories, which definitely isn't a lot, and I had many problems with the whole itself.

Once we started off with Claudia Gray's "Giovanni's Final Farewell," or something like that, I was really hoping for the rest of the book to continue the way it did. It was so good and I was so happy and surprised with the beginning outcome all at the same time!

Of course, by the end, this was absolutely horrible.

   Problems:

   -too cheesy stories
   -predictable
-boring and felt like a waste of time

   Pros:

   -few good stories
-favourite authors's pieces of work (Kami Garcia, Margaret Stohl, Ally Condie)

I've read and heard about many better short stories that were all put into a book. This one had a 25% of potential to become a good book, but it never turned into one, unless you count the good stories. I felt like this was a complete waste of time.

  1. hmm That is too bad. I've only read books by 3 of the authors, though think I have a couple of the others on my to-read list. But I don't tend to buy the collections of stories ones that come out, though should probably consider it some day in the future. Maybe a different one though.

    1. Yes, I also do enjoy anthropologies, but in a science-fiction or dystopian genre. I find paranormal short stories to be very bland.
